The Shikany Funeral Home was founded in 1978 by Walter R. and Elizabeth B. Shikany. It was founded under the principle of “Our Family Serving Your Family” a tradition that continues today. Their son, William Shikany joined the firm in 1982.

Shikany Funeral Home is the oldest family owned funeral home serving the families of Bonita Springs, Naples, Estero and the Ft. Myers area. In 2001, Bill assumed the responsibilities of the day to day operations of the funeral home. 

We have years of experience caring for families, from all walks of life. Each family comes to us because they know we are leaders in our profession, dedicated to excellence in service, and have the highest standards and integrity.

  • William B. Shikany

    William B. Shikany, Funeral Director - Owner

    Bill Shikany was born and raised in Coral Gables, FL and moved to Bonita Springs and joined his parents at Shikany Funeral Home in 1982 upon graduation from the Miami Dade College (W.L. Philbrick School of Mortuary Science). Bill lives in Bonita Springs with his wife, Liz who is the office manager at the funeral home. They have two children, Will and his wife, Krissy Shikany and Megan Shikany and one grandson, William B. Shikany. Bill continues his commitment to the community serving on the Executive Board at the Bonita Springs Chamber of Commerce and the Board of Directors for the Bonita Springs Assistance Office. He formerly served on the Boards of Directors for the Independent Funeral Directors of Florida. He is a member of St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, a 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus and a member of the Bonita Springs Lions Club.In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf, boating and cooking.

  • Craig R. Barber

    Craig R. Barber, Funeral Director

    Craig was born in Naples, FL and grew up in Bonita Springs a friend of the Shikany family. He began working at the funeral home during his senior year at Estero High School in 2000. Craig then attended Edison College before earning his Associates Degree in Mortuary Science at St. Petersburg College. He has a passion for serving families and helping people. Craig is a sports enthusiast who enjoys rooting for the Miami Hurricanes, Florida Panthers, Miami Heat, Florida Everblades but most importantly the New York Mets. His hobbies include working out and customizing cars.
