William E. Breaugh

William "Bill" Edward Breaugh, born in Detroit, Michigan, to Floyd and Bernice Breaugh, peacefully passed away on June 4, 2024. He was a beloved brother to his two sisters, Mary Breaugh and Doris Oja. Bill's journey began in Detroit, where he graduated from Denby High School and met his first love, Ruth Ulmer. He pursued his education at Eastern Michigan, affectionately known to him as Michigan State Normal, where he played football. His studies were interrupted by his dedicated service in the U.S. Army as a military police officer from 1952 to 1954. Upon completing his service, he finished his college education at Wayne State University. Bill's professional life was marked by a long and successful career at Ford Motor Company, where he worked in labor relations for 37 years, retiring on April 30, 1991. After the passing of his beloved wife Ruth in 1991, Bill found love again with Mary Way, whom he married in 1995. They cherished their years together in Naples, Florida, until Mary's passing on March 22, 2022. Bill and Ruth were blessed with four children: Cindy Holsinger (Phil), James (Lisa Garcia), Susan (who predeceased him on April 11, 1968), and Ronald (Karen Graziano). He also embraced his stepchildren, Daryl Way and Darcy Way (who predeceased him in 2021). Bill was a proud grandfather to 13 grandchildren: Phillip (who predeceased him in 2022), Austin (Molly), Jordan (Katie), Meghan, Taylor, Erin (Evan), Shannon, Melissa (Jon), Kelsey (Clark), Christa (Connor), Alyssa, Andrew, and Mark (Kelly). He was further blessed with five great-grandchildren: Crosby, Sylva, Mason, Arlo, and Jude. An avid golfer and card player, Bill found joy in simple pleasures and shared his devout Christian faith with his family and friends. His warm smile and kind spirit touched many lives throughout his journey. A service of remembrance for Bill will be held at 1 pm on June 14, 2024, at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 1955 Curling Ave, Naples, Florida. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
