Bruce A. Wismann

Bruce A. Wismann, age 70, of Bonita Springs, Florida, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 13, 2025, after an extended illness. Born on December 10, 1954, in Chicago, Illinois, Bruce was the beloved son of the late Harold and Ellen (née Court) Wismann. He was raised with strong Midwestern values and eventually made his home in St. Louis, Missouri, before settling in Bonita Springs, where he spent the last 26 years enjoying the warmth of the Florida sun and the close-knit community he came to love. Bruce graduated from Southeast Missouri State University, where he discovered his passion for financial planning. In 1985, he founded Best Brokers, Inc., a financial planning agency he led with integrity and dedication for over 45 years. Through his work, he helped countless individuals and families secure their financial futures, earning the trust and admiration of clients and colleagues alike. Bruce was a devoted member of St. Leo the Great Catholic Church. He cherished his family above all else and found joy in the simple pleasures of life spent with his wife, daughter, and his grandson. Bruce is survived by his loving wife, Cynthia M. Wismann of Bonita Springs, FL; his devoted daughter, Courtney Wismann of Bonita Springs, FL; and his cherished grandson, Emmett Wismann. He is also survived by his brother, Doug Wismann (Laura) of St. Louis, MO; sisters, Jane O'Donnell (Mark) of St. Louis, MO and Donna Wismann of Kansas; as well as brothers-in-law Ken Ballheimer (Maureen), Dennis Ballheimer (Pam), all of St. Louis, MO, and Jeff Ballheimer (Linda) of North Judson, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Harold Wismann. A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Bruce’s life will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church 9740 Sappington Rd. St. Louis, Missouri 63128.
