Donald March Raby 62, of Naples, FL went to be with the Lord unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 while visiting Sarasota, FL. He had been a resident of Naples for the past year, moving from Hilton Head Island, SC. Don’s career as a Multi Presidential Sales Executive for the Hyatt Residence Club, Marriott Vacation Club, as well as The Ritz Carlton Club kept him exploring the world. Prior to living in Hilton Head Island, SC. he had resided in Naples FL, St. Thomas USVI. and Jupiter, FL. Donald “ The Player “ had a passion for traveling, beautiful beaches, music, and a big heart for people. He also had a very successful career as a saxophonist for Chubby Checker for many years until he became the wonderful family man that he is! He had a zest for life! He truly lived every day to the fullest. He was born July 23, 1956 in Norfolk, VA. The son of the late Julius C. Raby and his mother, Betty E. March-Raby of Youngstown, OH. He is survived by his two daughters, Monica K. Raby-Cannon and her husband, Ethan of Port St. Lucie, FL and Latasha Nichole Raby-Collins and her husband, Casey of King, NC; one son, Samuel Killon and his wife, Amanda of Pilot Mountain, NC; his brother, Glen Raby and his wife, Melaine of Youngstown, OH; his sister, Shirley Moorehead and her husband, Donald of Raphine, VA, his ex-wife and best friend Nannette Raby of Port St. Lucie, FL, and 10 beloved grandchildren, Avery Raby, Kourtney Barclay, Madison Raby, Evan Ray Barclay, Gavin Cannon, Owen Cannon, Payton Collins, Hunter Collins, Parker Killion, and Lukas Killion. He also has many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Shikany’s Bonita Funeral Home 28300 So. Tamiami Tr., Bonita Springs, FL. A funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM with Rev. Dr. Bob Wallace, officiating. Additional services will be held in Norfolk, VA with burial in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens on Saturday, June 15th, 2019.
