Dorothy L. Biondo

Dorothy L. Biondo, 91, of Naples, FL, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2025, at the Frances Georgeson Hospice House in Naples. Born on December 10, 1933, in Jersey City, NJ, Dorothy was the beloved daughter of the late Herman and Lillian (née Auchard) Smith. She spent much of her life in South Brunswick, NJ, before making Naples her winter retreat in 2001 and her permanent home in 2012. Dorothy built a successful career in banking, beginning as a secretary and ultimately retiring as an executive secretary at Wells Fargo’s North Brunswick, NJ headquarters. Outside of her professional life, she found joy in swimming and, most of all, in the company of her cherished grandchildren and family. Dorothy also dedicated her time as a volunteer at Naples Community Hospital, giving back to the community she loved. She is survived by her devoted husband of 72 years, Lawrence Biondo, Sr., of Naples, FL; her three loving children, Donna Samuels (Barry) of Hudson, NH, Barbara Snyder (Edward) of Ft. Myers, FL, and Lawrence Biondo, Jr. (Jennifer) of Branchburg, NJ; and four adored grandchildren, Tracey Mitchell (Aaron), Eric Samuels, Ariel Lastella (Dave), and Anthony Biondo. She also leaves behind three treasured great-grandchildren, Lincoln Samuels, Leanora Lastella, and Carly Mitchell; as well as her dear sisters, Marion Mick of West Palm Beach, FL, and Catherine Frye (Edward) of Pequannock, NJ. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Elsie Lier and Ruth Cote. A memorial service celebrating Dorothy’s life will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at Shikany’s Bonita Funeral Home, 28300 Tamiami Trail S., Bonita Springs, FL. The family will welcome friends beginning at 10:30 AM until the time of service.
