Grace Kathryn Irwin

On July 23, at 10:25pm, Grace Kathryn Irwin left the arms of her parents and entered Jesus’s embrace. For exactly seven months, she fought a strong and courageous battle that did not end in defeat, but in everlasting life with her Creator. Grace was a remarkable child with a strong connection to Jesus. From the time she was a small child, her love of worship music was evident. She found joy in singing songs of praise to her Father in Heaven. She adored her sweet friends, baking, cooking, and doing any and all things crafty. Her silliness and giggles were contagious, and she was always ready for a thrill. Her bravery and determination to complete her cancer treatment was astonishing, displaying a strength that can only come from God. The things she endured during her treatment were hard and grueling, and she did it with determination and strength unlike any other. Her family and friends are so proud of the child she was and were blessed to call her theirs. She is and will always be a true superhero. Grace is survived by her parents, Jake and Erica Irwin, her siblings, Drew and Ava, her grandparents, Donald and Barbara Viehman, Reneé Hansen, Mark and Jay Irwin, her great grandparents, Margaret Allison, Kip and Nicki Thomas, Richard Irwin, her great-great-grandmother, Violeta Soto, along with many adoring aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. In closing, there is no better way than to share Grace’s own words of prayer and hope after losing a loved one last year, “I hope everyone feels better knowing that Grandma is with God and having fun. Heaven is a really great place and she is lucky to be there.” Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Summit Church Estero, 19601 Ben Hill Griffin Pkwy, Fort Myers, FL 33913.
