Joyce A. Wino

Joyce Anzmann Wino, 81, of Naples, Florida, a resident for more than 20 years, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2016 in Naples, after a brief illness. Joyce was born on November 6, 1934, in Baltimore, Maryland, the second daughter of Edward L. Anzmann and Margaret Noonan. After graduating from Notre Dame Preparatory School in Baltimore, Joyce attended the Villa Julie College, now known as Stevenson University, graduating with an Associate degree. After graduating, Joyce met and married the love of her life, George J. Wino on August 7, 1954 and moved to Mount Vernon and then to Larchmont, New York where together they raised their young family for 15 years. In Larchmont, Joyce was an active volunteer and parishioner at Saints John and Paul Church and an avid sailor, spending many weekends happily racing on Long Island Sound. In 1975 Joyce and her family moved to Bethesda, Maryland where she continued her church activities at The Church of the Little Flower and sailing on Chesapeake Bay. Her love of the water eventually brought her and her husband to Naples to enjoy an active retirement as residents of Bermuda Greens. Joyce promptly joined the Pearls of Naples social group and took up golf, joining Quail Village Golf Club in Naples and its nine-holer group. One of Joyce’s greatest joys was volunteering as a Eucharistic Minister at Saint Leo the Great Catholic Church in Bonita Springs. She will be remembered for her boundless energy and joy-filled spirit, her love of the sea, and her friendliness and kindness to all who came into her life, and her devotion to her family, friends, and church. Joyce embraced life, living one day at a time. Joyce is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, George Wino; devoted daughters Barbara Keating of New Boston, NH, and Lynn Nebel and her husband, Reynold Nebel, Jr. of Bernardsville, NJ; and five grandchildren: Erin K. Keating of Lexington, KY; Amy Keating Houle of New Boston, NH; Reynold Nebel III of Houston, TX; Scott A. Nebel of Portland, ME; and W. Tyler Nebel of Manhattan. A Celebration of Her Life will be held, with a Memorial Mass on Tuesday, April 5 at 11A.M. in St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, Bonita Springs, with private burial at St. John the Evangelist Memorial Garden in Naples.
