Judy B. Carr, 74, of Estero, Florida, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at the Frances Georgeson Avow Hospice House in Naples Florida. Born on October 28, 1950, in Winchester, Tennessee, Judy was the beloved daughter of the late Clarence and Susie Juanita (Everett) Gifford. Judy's life journey took her from Calumet City, Illinois, where she spent her early years, to Bonita Springs, Florida, 42 years ago. She later relocated to Estero, where she spent the last 24 years of her life. A woman of the deepest faith and devotion, Judy’s family was at the heart of everything she did. Judy very much enjoyed shopping, decorating her home beautifully for holidays, lunches out with her husband, spending daily time listening and hearing about all about her children and grandchildren’s daily lives which gave her the utmost joy and laughter. She was known for her unwavering and complete love of God and her family. She was truly the most amazing woman. Judy is survived by her devoted husband of 56 years, John "Skip" Carr; her children, John Carr of Port Charlotte, FL, Christy (Ray) Carr- Swathwood of Lehigh Acres, FL, and Carolyn Carr of Bonita Springs, FL; her sister, Kathy (Jim) Plez of Flagler Beach, FL; her grandchildren, Kevin (Melissa) Carr, Michael (Vanessa ) Coats, Cayla (Arron) Slorp, Darrell (Kali) Mounts, and Emma (Jaron) Hubbard; and her precious great-grandchildren, Kassandra, John, Skylar, Peyton, Mia and Eugene. In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her brother, Bobby Gifford. A memorial service to honor Judy’s life will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Shikany's Bonita Funeral Home, located at 28300 Tamiami Trail So., Bonita Springs, FL 34134.
