Kerry Elizabeth Crawford

Kerry Elizabeth Crawford of Estero, FL and Latham, NY passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 22, 2023. She was 61. Born in Bradford, PA to Gary V. and the late Rita Joan (nee Mc Laughlin) Crawford. After graduating high school Kerry went on to obtain her certificate in medical billing. She then worked at C.H.P and Memorial hospital; she then went on to work at Wal-Mart in Latham, NY and transferred to the Fort Myers location 2 years ago when she moved to Estero to care for her father. She loved shelling the shores of Southwest Florida, just as her mother Joan had enjoyed. Kerry had a passion for photography; it was not unusual to see her camera in hand. She enjoyed capturing the lighthouses of Cape Cod and other landscapes, but the photos that bought her the most joy were those of her grandchildren. She took great pride in displaying the photos as she referred to them, “the brightest lights in her life.” Kerry also scoured the shelves of craft stores finding unique items to create cards, and gifts for family and friends. It was always a wonderful surprise to receive a package from Kerry; she was a true artist in her craft. Kerry’s love to laugh and great sense of humor will be missed but forever remembered by those who loved her the most, and so will her pride in being mistaken for younger than she was. Kerry is survived by her two precious sons; Michael Crawford Bryk (Krystal) and Thomas Gary Alan Dowd (Rachel); her 3 adorable and precious grandchildren, Brayan T.R. Dowd, Kendall A. Bryk, and Michael C. Bryk; her devoted father, Gary V. Crawford; her loving siblings, Kimberly J. Jones, Kelley A. Crawford-Doyle (Daniel) Sean McL. Crawford, and Justin D. Crawford. She will always be remembered as a generous and caring aunt to, Andreanna M. Crawford, Garian C. Doyle, Aidan C. Doyle, Skylar B. Jones and Dallas H. Jones. Kerry is now reunited with her mother R. Joan Crawford, her brother Gary V. Crawford, and her brother-in-law, Cassidy H. Jones Jr. Lastly to Kerry from your sisters: You have forever left an empty space as you were the middle of the three K’s, we will forever love you, and yes, Dad still says you are the favorite. Rest now our sweet sister, we will see you again one day. A private memorial service was held at Shikany’s Bonita Funeral Home on Sunday, March 26, 2023. A Gathering of Friends will be held at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, 2501 Troy Schenectady Road, Niskayuna, NY on Sun., April 23, 2023 - Christ's Passion Mausoleum, 1-3 PM. It is requested to please bring floral arrangements with you to place at Kerry's mausoleum (deliveries not accepted by the cemetery) Donations can be made to Kerry Crawford Memorial Fund Arrangements are being handled by Shikany’s Bonita Funeral Home, Family Owned and Operated Since 1978.
