Kim J. Hart

Kim J. Hart, 60, of Fort Myers, Florida, passed away peacefully at her residence on April 1, 2026, surrounded by her family. Born on June 25, 1965, in Timmins, Ontario, Canada, Kim was the daughter of the late Allan and Josephine Rowat. She married the love of her life, David F. Hart, on July 12, 1986, in Richards Landing, Ontario. In 2001, Kim and her family relocated from Desbarats, Ontario, to Fort Myers, Florida, where she devoted herself wholeheartedly to raising her family and building a life centered on faith, love, and service. She was a faithful member of Daniels Road Baptist Church, where she faithfully served her Lord and Savior as a Sunday School teacher and through many other ministries. Also, Kim dedicated ten years of service to the Lee County School System, where her compassion and commitment made a lasting impact on the lives of many students. Her warmth, gentle humor, and quiet strength reflected her deep faith, and she found her greatest joy in loving her family and caring for others. Kim is survived by her beloved husband of 39 years, David F. Hart of Fort Myers, Florida; her three sons, Joshua D. Hart (Maria) of Fort Myers, Florida, Geoffrey C. Hart (Danica) of Kingsport, Tennessee, and Nathan A. Hart (Kelley) of Kingsport, Tennessee; and her seven cherished grandchildren, Brooke, Xavier, Noah, Josie, Olivia, Eloise, and Calvin. She is also survived by her brother, Scott Rowat of St. Joseph Island, Ontario; and two sisters, Beth Smith of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, and Mary Tomas (Steven) of St. Joseph Island, Ontario. Additionally, she will be greatly missed by many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Kim was preceded in death by her sister, Gwen Raymond, and her brother, Isaac Rowat. Family and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Daniels Road Baptist Church. Kim will be laid to rest at Happy Valley Memorial Park in Johnson City, Tennessee at a later date.
