Larry Bridge

Larry Bridge of Bonita Springs, Florida, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Larry was born on November 11, 1937, in Turtle Creek, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Ralph and Lois (née Doyle) Bridge. The Bridge family relocated to Buffalo, New York in the 1940s, where Larry attended Kenmore High School and went on to graduate from Michigan State University before beginning his 20-year career with General Electric in Syracuse, New York. In 1960, Larry married the love of his life, Elizabeth Ann "Betsy" Ahrens. Four years later, the couple relocated to Cleveland, Ohio, with their young sons Tom, Tim, and Jon; where Jim and Jeff would join the family. All five boys grew up attending St. Bernadette grade school in Westlake, Ohio, and St. Edward High School in Lakewood, Ohio. In the late 1970s, Larry founded All Care Medical Services, which he grew into a thriving business employing as many as 20 people. An avid boater and fisherman, he also operated the Emerald Necklace Marina in Rocky River, Ohio and earned his captain’s license. Larry retired in 2001, and he and Betsy made their home in Copperleaf at The Brooks in Estero, Florida, an idyllic residence overlooking the golf course where they built deep and lasting ties within the community. He enjoyed golfing, boating, and fishing, and was a faithful parishioner of Our Lady of Light Catholic Community. Above all else, Larry was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, and friend. His quiet strength, unwavering work ethic, and love for his family will be remembered and cherished by all who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth Ann (Betsy) Bridge, of Bonita Springs, Florida; his sons, Tom (Evelyn), Tim (Kathy), Jon, Jim (Andrea), and Jeff (Jana); his grandchildren, Zachary, Brittany, Erin, Megan, Aaron, Katie, Anna Claire, Ryan, Maggie, Jack, Clara, Madeline, and Matthew; and his four great-grandchildren, Corey, Sofia, Harper, and Nicholas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Lois Bridge, and his sister, Lynn Loeser. A Funeral Mass celebrating Larry’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at Our Lady of Light Catholic Community, 19680 Cypress View Drive, Fort Myers, FL 33967. A Memorial Mass will also be celebrated on September 4th, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Avon Lake, Ohio.
