Lawrence Pasco

Lawrence Pasco, (90), of Naples, Florida, passed away on February 1, 2025, surrounded by his family. Loving husband of Ursel Elisabeth Pasco for fifty-five years; devoted father of Gregory (Roseanne), Gwenn, Michael Wayne (Constance), Michael Hans, Karen (Timothy), Ellen (Charles) and Matthew (Lisa); doting grandfather of Jessica, Nicholas, Shirley, Samantha, Madeline, Allen, Grace, Austin, Andrew, Lillian and Minnie; and great-grandfather of Bella. Born on November 23, 1934 in New York, New York, to David and Minnie Pasco, Larry was a talented athlete and scholar, attending the Bronx High School of Science and City College of New York. After graduating, Larry began a 30+ year career with International Business Machines Corporation earning multiple Golden Circle awards. A highlight of his time at IBM was sharing the beauty of the Far East with his family during a three year assignment in Tokyo, Japan. Upon retirement from IBM, he started a successful consulting business. Everyone who knew Larry would agree that although his job was a top priority, giving back to his community was equally important. Larry served as President of Ahavath Israel Synagogue in Kingston, New York. He was also President of the Eastham Part-Time Resident Taxpayers Association from 2015-2020 and chaired the Outreach Committee. For many years he was an active member of the Lower Cape Kiwanis Organization. Larry adored Ursel, took tremendous pride in his children and enjoyed time shared with family and friends at their homes in New York, Cape Cod, and Naples. The only thing he enjoyed more than zipping around town in his Porsche was perhaps a foot-long hot dog in Provincetown and a book of crossword puzzles. Larry will always be remembered for his infectious smile and a story (or several) for every occasion. He always made time for others and never hesitated to offer sage advice. Friends and family will long for his booming rendition of “Happy Birthday” one more time. To honor Larry’s memory, a service will be held at Shikany’s Bonita Funeral Home, 28300 Tamiami Trail South, Bonita Springs, on Friday, February 7, 2025, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Avow Hospice in Collier County or a cause that is dear to you.
