Margaret McCarron Kenny

Margaret McCarron Kenny “Margy” a resident of Belle Lago Estates, Fort Myers, FL, and Bay Crossing, Lewes, DE. died on December 28, 2022. She was born February 18, 1947, the eldest child of Joseph Clark and Margaret Cecelia (nee Grogan) McCarron in Newton, MA. She was predeceased by her loving husband George E. Kenny, Jr. on March 22, 1994, Philip D. Muehlberger on December 14, 2007, and sister Nancy M. Williams on August 30, 2007. Survived by her siblings Joanne McCarron Charles (John) of East Sussex, England, Joseph C. McCarron, Jr. (Janice) of Bedford, NH, Mary Elizabeth Overton of Beaver Falls, PA, Thomas G. McCarron (Anita) of Roswell, GA, and Stephen J. McCarron of Cambridge, MA. Also survived by 4 stepchildren from George: Kevin G. Kenny, Karen S. Kenny, MD, Kristen M. Kenny RN, and George E. Kenny III, Esq. and 3 stepchildren from Phil: Karen E. Muehlberger of Fort Myers, FL, Ann M. (Bob) Werner of West Bridgewater, MA, and John P. (Ann Marie) Muehlberger of Orlando, FL, 4 grandchildren (Christopher, Pamela, Kara, and Teresa), several great-grandchildren, as well as a host of nephews, nieces, and cousins. Margy attended primary and secondary schools in Canton, Dorchester, and Scituate, MA. She graduated in 1968 from the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. with a B.S. degree in Pre-Medicine and Mathematics. She retired after 30 years from the IBM Corporation as a manager of software system development and integration and instructor of quality assurance. In addition to serving on several homeowner association committees, Margy was a devoted parishioner and active volunteer at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Warrenton, VA, Our Lady of Light Catholic Community in Ft. Myers, FL. and St. Jude the Apostle Church in Lewes, DE. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 19, 2023, at 3:00 PM at Our Lady of Light Catholic Community 19680 Cypress View Dr., Ft. Myers, FL 33967.
