Maria Paola Serralles

Maria Paola Serralles, 16 years old, of Bonita Springs, FL. passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2017 at the Lee Memorial Hospital Ft. Myers from injuries sustained as a result of a motorcycle accident occurred on Friday March 31, 2017. Formerly residing for several years in Miami with her mother Paola, stepfather Robert and her brother Juan, Maria and her family had moved to the West Coast about 3 years ago, residing in Estero and Bonita Springs, FL. Maria, aka “MP, Pola, Polita or simply…Maria”, was born on June 2nd, 2000 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, daughter of Erika Paola Pinillos and Juan F. Serralles. She was currently in her junior year at South Fort Myers High School and was working as a front end clerk at the Publix in Bonita Springs. Maria had a huge and compassionate heart for animals, she loved candles and incense, enjoyed going for mani-pedis with her friends, tanning, shopping, dancing, working out, eating tacos and most importantly sleeping in. She was known for taking lots of “selfies”, her “all-night facetiming Jose” and “snap-chatting” every minute she had. She was also very proud of her Dominican-Peruvian heritage and had comical way of “making up” her own Spanish words. Maria will be remembered for her beautiful smile, contagious laughter and bringing happiness to everyone she touched. Survivors include her beloved parents; Erika Paola Pinillos, step-father Robert Doyle Jr. and biological father, Juan F. Serralles; siblings, Juan Serralles, Gian Franco Serralles, Robert Doyle III, Yaira Doyle and Katherine Doyle; grandparents, Lucy Hildreth-Rodibaugh “Tuti”, Douglas Rodibaugh, Susan Castaneda, Robert Doyle Sr. and Guillermo Pinillos; uncles, Robert Hildreth and companion Nicole Ditcharo, Gonzalo Pinillos, Jean Mark Colordo, Richard Doyle, Eugenio, Alejandro and Jorge Serralles; aunts, Montserrat and Wendy Serralles and Alyson Doyle; great aunts, Rosa Rodriguez-Easton and Pheme Doyle; step great grandma, "Nanny," Maria’s boyfriend, Jose Gordillo; and many loving cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 17, 2017 at 7:00 PM at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 28300 Beaumont Rd., Bonita Springs, FL 34134.
