Ralph H. "Bud" Kendall

Ralph H. “Bud” Kendall Jr., 77, of Estero, passed away on June 13, 2020 in Naples. He was the devoted husband of Diane A. Kendall (neé Gebo). Mr. Kendall was born on June 12, 1943 in Springfield, MA, to the late Ralph H. and Anne C. (neé Rourke) Kendall. He grew up locally, graduating from Springfield Trade High School where he met his future wife Diane (neé Gebo). Upon graduation he secured a position with New England Telephone Company; and held many positions within the company for over 30 years. Bud and Diane became Mr. and Mrs. Kendall in 1965 and settled in Wilbraham, MA. They were blessed with three children; Patrick, Kelly, and the late Michael Kendall. Mr. Kendall decided after his years in the Telecommunications field that it was time to retire and did so; relocating to Bonita Springs in 1995. His strong work ethic prevailed and, in order to keep himself busy, he secured a position as Property Manager for a number of luxury condominiums and created a business caring for the homes of his neighbors in the Bonita Bay area for nearly 25 years. Mr. Kendall had many passions in his life. He had a passion for hockey and played during high school and he enjoyed coaching the next generation of hockey players for many years. He loved to travel and also spent time boating. He found joy tinkering in his garage and being the handyman to help others when needed. Above all else was the time he spent with family and friends. Mr. Kendall is survived by beloved his wife of 55 years, Diane A. Kendall (neé Gebo) of Estero. Father to Patrick J. Kendall and his wife Liane of MA, Kelly A. Kendall and her husband Aaron Kayafas of MA. Brother-in-law to Frederick D. Gebo of MA. Grandfather to Michael J. Kendall, John P. Kendall, and Megan K. Weissenburger. He was preceded in death by his son, the late Michael Kendall, and his sister, the late Barbara Caney (neé Kendall). Services for Mr. Kendall will be held in Massachusetts at a future date to be announced.
