Ronald Francis Kadane

Ronald F. Kadane (82) passed away on April 3, 2024, in Bonita Springs, Florida. Ron, fondly known as Papa, was born to Ernest and Rosalie Kadane on September 24, 1941, in St. Louis, Missouri. He was always a very intelligent and responsible person. He attended the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri where 2 loves were born. One for the Missouri Tigers and most importantly the love for his bride, Jacqueline Richard. They met at the Shack in Columbia. He graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering and had a successful career with Harland Bartholomew & Associates and another 25 years with Clayton Engineering. He loved all sports. He played soccer from a young age and was a soccer referee. He touched many lives as a soccer coach and softball coach. He was an involved community member in Ballwin, Missouri. After his retirement, Ron and Jackie started vacationing with close friends in Gulf Shores, Alabama which led to Bonita Springs, Florida where they bought a condominium (Cation House) and now call home in Highland Woods Golf community. He was a longtime trustee of his Heathermoor 2 building association. He held many titles in his life, from engineer to vice president, but his favorite roles were husband, father, and grandfather. He loved Jackie deeply. He would shake his grandkid's hands when saying goodbye and have money in his hand and called it the “golden handshake”. Ron is survived by his loving wife Jackie of almost 60 years: his children Debbie Brewer and her husband John (Olathe, KS) and Jon Kadane (Bonita Springs, FL). He is also survived by his brother Douglas Kadane and his wife Cecelia and his sister Danette Sauceman and her husband Doug. He will be missed by his granddaughter Kelsey Davis and fiancé Mathijs Fieten, his grandson Brandon Davis and his wife Kelsey and granddaughter Abby Kadane, and dear nieces and nephews. He was to be blessed with his first great-grandchild in August. A Memorial Mass to celebrate his life will be held on Friday, April 19, 2024, at 11:00 AM at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church 28300 Beaumont Rd., Bonita Springs, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions in his memory be made to St. Leo the Great Catholic Church.
