Ronald D. Sebring

Ronald (Ron) D. Sebring, 77, of Bonita Springs, FL, passed away at his residence on December 16, 2024. He was born on December 1, 1947, in Roswell, NM, to the late Richard L. and Nora A. (née Parks) Sebring. He had been a resident of Bonita Springs since 2000, where he practiced architecture and his passion for art. Ron received an Associate’s degree from New Mexico Junior College and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Texas Tech University. After graduating, he remained in Lubbock, Texas, where he and his wife Connie raised their family, and he began practicing architecture. In 1988, he relocated to Fort Myers, FL, and in 2000, he moved to Bonita Springs, where he continued to serve clients in the Southwest Florida area until his passing. Throughout his career, Ron was known for his dedication to design and craftsmanship, as well as his commitment to the architectural community, being a longtime member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA). In addition to his work as an architect, Ron was a talented artist, selling his work primarily through the co-op Tower Gallery on Sanibel Island, where he was an active member for many years. His love for creativity and design extended far beyond the drafting table, and he cherished the opportunity to showcase his artistic vision through painting and sculpting. Ron proudly served his country as a member of the United States National Guard for six years, demonstrating his lifelong commitment to service. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 54 years, Connie R. Sebring, and his parents. Ron is survived by his loving daughter, Candice Sebring-Kelber, and her husband Harvey, of Bonita Springs; granddaughter, Cameron Kelber, of Bonita Springs; his brother, Richard Sebring (Barbara) of Vancouver, WA; sister-in-law, Kate Ballew (Bob) of Casper, WY; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at Shikany's Bonita Funeral Home 28300 Tamiami Tr. S., Bonita Springs, FL 34134.
