Rosa G. Duckler

Rosa Goldfarb Duckler, whose passion for life and vibrant presence left a lasting impression on all who knew her, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2025. Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Rosa came to the United States at an early age, settling in Milwaukee without speaking a word of English. Over the years, her vocabulary grew, and everyone came to understand her delightful Spanglish as she raised her three sons: Peter, Kevin, and David. Fitness became an essential outlet for Rosa, providing both mental and spiritual balance, and ultimately blossomed into a fulfilling career. Her professional love for health began at the YMCA in Milwaukee, where she worked her way from beloved instructor to inspiring leader. She later moved to the JCC in Milwaukee, continuing to share her passion for healthy living with the community. Before moving to Naples, Florida, Rosa became the face of a community outreach campaign in Milwaukee, inspiring seniors to lead active lifestyles—a mission she embodied wholeheartedly. Known for her warm encouragement and frequent reminders that "you are beautiful," she had a charming ability to dance between English, Spanish, and Yiddish, engaging everyone she met and leaving a lasting impression with her playful banter. In Naples, Rosa found joy in her role as a caregiver and motivator for seniors, continuing her lifelong dedication to health and connection. Her vibrant spirit and ability to forge deep connections made her an integral part of the community. An adventurous world traveler, Rosa touched nearly every continent, seeking amazing experiences like sleeping in trees and fending off monkeys. Often traveling solo, her adventurous spirit helped her make new friends around the globe. She perfected her favorite recipes, and no one made empanadas, Mandel bread, and matzo balls quite like Rosa. She was known for her lavish gifts and re-gifts, with her favorites being German chocolates and cocoa tea. Her love for music was reflected in her favorite show tunes from "Man of La Mancha" and her cherished song, "The Rose," which she indeed embodied. Rosa is survived by her sons, Peter (Bradley Lincoln), the memory of Kevin (Tamara), and David (Joanne), as well as her grandchildren, Brian (Nicole), Michael, Katie, Paige, and Alec. She is also remembered by her siblings, Susana, Marcos, Alicia, Dora, and Gregory. Rosa's legacy is one of love, vitality, and an enduring spirit that will be remembered by all who experienced her warmth and exuberant love for living.
