Scott Dale Lindley

Scott Dale Lindley, 89, of Pembroke Pines, Fl, formerly of Naples, Fl, died on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Vitas Healthcare in Sunrise, FL. He was born August 13, 1928 in New Castle, IN. He was the youngest of nine children of the late Bonnie Ray and Ella (Lamb) Lindley. Scott graduated from New Castle High School and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served n the U.S. Army from 1948 thru 1954. After being stationed in Bamberg, Germany he returned home where he met and married his wife of 56 years, Norma. Together they owned and operated several businesses, their bowling alley being the favorite, in both New Castle and Kokomo, IN. Scott became a father in 1966 and again in 1968. He and his family moved to Bonita Springs in 1972 and on to reside in Naples in 1977. He worked for Naples Sprinkler Service for many years and wore many adventurous hats in other business endeavors. For Scott, kindness was a way of life. He loved the Lord and found joy in everything he did, particularly while thriving in the oneness of Christian fellowship. His favorite things were finishing a hard days work, hot coffee, cold beer, his dachshund Duffy, great food and being surrounded by friends and family. Survivors include his son Greg (Christi) Lindley of Naples, FL and his daughter Jacque (Nicolas) Dousson and grandchildren Camille, Roman and Cora of Bonita Springs, FL. Many beloved nieces and nephews from around the country fondly remember Uncle Scott as well. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Norma in 2010; his brothers Robert, Donald and Jay as well as his sisters Lillian, June, Bonnie, Peggie and Lee. Each finishing their race with great strength and perseverance to at last be reunited! Amen! A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Bonita Springs with Pastor Brad Rogers, officiating. Scott’s family extends their sincere gratitude to Delores and the staff of the Alexander Nininger State Veteran’s Nursing Home in Pembroke Pines, FL who tirelessly cared for him since 2011.
