Timothy G. Tierney

Timothy G. Tierney, known to many as Tim, passed away on August 27, 2023, in Gainesville, FL, at the age of 35. Born on July 31, 1988, in Bath, Maine, Tim was the beloved son of Marcella Ade and Gilbert Tierney, and step-son of Jerome Ade. He will be deeply missed by his family, including numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins from both his mother's and father's side. Timothy spent his early years in Brunswick, Maine and attended Brunswick schools from kindergarten to high school. He loved his boyhood years in Brunswick and spent as much time outdoors as possible, playing league ice hockey from the age of 5 to 14, going downhill skiing on the many Maine ski mountains, fishing, summer baseball, cub scouts, and boy scouts. After graduating from Brunswick High School, Tim pursued higher education at Northern Maine Community College, then went on to receive advanced technical and skills training while working full-time. At the age of 30, Tim relocated to Cape Coral, Florida to be closer to family, his mother and step-father, and to take advantage of the fabulous Florida sunshine and lifestyle amenities. He loved living in Florida and made it his second home. Timothy Tierney's career was marked by his exceptional talent as an over-the-road truck driver. With over 14 years of experience, he was highly skilled and ranked among the best. Tim possessed a natural genius for mastering logistics, and for troubleshooting all things mechanical. His dedication and expertise made him an invaluable asset in his field. In honor of Timothy's life, a Celebration of Life will be held at Shikany's Bonita Funeral Home, 28300 Tamiami Trail So., Bonita Springs, Florida on Saturday, September 30 at 11:00 am. Friends and family are invited to participate in this celebration. Please come prepared to share kind words and personal stories about Tim - we want to honor him and keep his memory alive. For those who wish to make a contribution in Timothy's memory, donations can be made to the Cape Coral Animal Shelter at 325 SW 2nd Ave, Cape Coral, FL 33991. Caring for and assisting animals was close to Timothy's heart. The Cape Coral Animal Shelter is a no-kill shelter, a cause that Tim fully supported. Timothy G. Tierney's departure has left a void in the lives of all who knew him. He will be remembered for his kindness, his love for his family and friends, his intelligence, his quick wit, and his warm personality. He was dearly loved by all. May his soul find eternal peace.
