William B. Dawson

William B. Dawson, 76, of Fort Myers, Florida, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2026, at Hope Hospice at HealthPark. Bill was born on September 21, 1949, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of the late Jack Fuller and Edith (née Bane) Fuller. At the age of four, Bill's father, Jack, passed away unexpectedly. His mother later married Carl Dawson, who lovingly adopted Bill and his siblings. Bill always considered Carl to be his father and remained grateful for the love and guidance he provided throughout his life. Bill had been a resident of Fort Myers for the past 30 years, having relocated from Columbus, Ohio. While in Columbus, Bill and his beloved wife, Teresa, owned and operated Dawson University Flower Shop for 22 years, where they built a successful business and countless lasting friendships. After moving to Southwest Florida, Bill joined his father at Dawson Title Insurance Company, which later became Beta Title. A man of deep faith, Bill was a devoted parishioner of Our Lady of Light Catholic Community, where he faithfully served as a Eucharistic Minister. He was also dedicated to several prison ministry programs through the parish, sharing his compassion, encouragement, and faith with those in need. In his leisure time, Bill was an enthusiastic supporter of The Ohio State Buckeyes and rarely missed an opportunity to cheer on his beloved football team. He also enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle having owned 3 of them. This past June, Bill and Teresa celebrated 55 years of marriage. Above all else, Bill treasured his family. He was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and loyal friend whose kindness, generosity, and unwavering faith touched the lives of all who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife, Teresa G. Dawson of Fort Myers, Florida; his two children, Steven B. Dawson of San Luis Obispo, California and Jennifer M. Eno (Teatanibure) of Fort Myers, Florida, his five beloved grandchildren, Nicolas Dawson, Teebea Eno, Maie Eno, Viane Eno, and Ave Marie Eno; his brother, Rick Dawson (Bonnie) of Travelers Rest, South Carolina; and his sister, Jackie Nicol (Ken) of Columbus, Ohio. Bill was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Azelie Angela Eno; his brother, David Wayne Dawson; and his sister, Patricia Fuller. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 17, 2026, at Our Lady of Light Catholic Community, 19680 Cypress View Drive, Fort Myers, Florida 33967.
