Carmine "Skip" C. Amodeo

Carmine C. “Skip” Amodeo 93, of Naples, FL died on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at his residence after a brief illness. He was born on August 24, 1928 in Manhattan, NY the only son of the late Anthony and Carmela (née DeFanzio) Amodeo. He had been a resident of Naples since 1975 coming from Kensington, MD. At the early age of 17, Skip enlisted in the U.S. Navy and proudly served his country for three years. After returning home, he became an automobile salesman for Lincoln-Mercury in Silver Springs, MD. He spent his entire career in the automotive industry at different dealerships throughout Maryland. Skip was a faithful and daily communicant at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Naples. He was a 4th-degree member of the St. Agnes Knights of Columbus Assembly #3094. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 135 of Naples. He is survived by his six children, Michael P. Amodeo (Judy) of Naples Park, Cheryl A. Fitzgerald (Jim) of Naples, Geri A. Masterson (Jim) of Naples, Kevin Amodeo (Holly) of Naples, Billy Amodeo (Evie) of Ft. Loudon, PA and Jim Amodeo of Bonita Springs; 11 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife, Patricia A. Amodeo who died on August 7, 1998. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 7, 2022, at 10:30 AM at St. Agnes Catholic Church 7775 Vanderbilt Beach Rd., Naples, FL 34120. He will be laid to rest at Sarasota National Cemetery. A reception for family and friends will follow the Mass in the Parish Hall.
