Chris passed away on April 22, 2022 after a brief illness. He was born August 5,1951 in Kansas City, MO to the late Billie B. Fox and Marilyn Valentine Fox. After graduating from Shawnee Mission South High School in 1970, Chris began a career in law enforcement, serving with Prairie Village (KS) Police Department, Johnson County Park Patrol, Gardner (KS) Police Department, Hodgeman County (KS) Sheriff's Department, and the Ford County Sheriff's Department in Dodge City, KS. Chris moved to Germantown, TN in 1996 to be closer to family, where he enjoyed being a park ranger at Shelby Farms. He retired to Bonita Springs, FL in 2007. He enjoyed traveling in his retirement, cruising to Europe, South America, and New Zealand, and making friends all over the world. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Virginia Valentine Fox Haight. He is survived by his niece, Elizabeth Valentine Haight Hawthorne (Shawn) of Charlotte, NC; nephews, Charles Andrew Steven Haight (Betsy), Aleksander Scott Haight (Shana), and Vladimir Fox Haight, all of Memphis, TN; grandnieces, Emmaline Haight and Gracie Hawthorne; grandnephew, Banks Haight; and his life-long friends and former law enforcement partners. A celebration of life and interment will be held at St. George's Episcopal Church in Germantown, TN at a time to be determined.
