Jayne Bockholt Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Carol Jayne Bockholt, 65, of Bonita Springs, FL, passed away suddenly on July 9, 2022. Jayne was born on August 22, 1956 to Carol Olar Grenier in Memphis, TN. In her early years, Jayne and her family found their way to Delavan, WI where they remained and began to make their mark in their local community. In 1974, Jayne met Bruce, and they wed in 1977, going on to have two children, Jeremy and Julia. Through out the years their family expanded with many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren joining them and making their lives full of love and many wonderful memories. Jayne held a few jobs throughout the years where she met many people who welcomed her and her love for life and family. Some of these friends grew to become sisters and brothers in love. As life moved on, Jayne, Bruce, Jeremy and Julia, made their way down to Florida. Jayne found her way into real-estate and then realized her calling of being the matriarch of her family and finishing out her days wearing every “hat” of importance as a stay-at-home wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Jayne’s passion for life, love, and family could be seen in her smile, felt in her hugs, and radiated into everyone that crossed her path. Jayne always made everyone feel welcomed and ensured that no one would ever go hungry on her watch. She opened her heart and home to many people in her life, providing a loving and safe place to get back on your feet and move forward toward success. Jayne exuded love and compassion and would do anything she could to help those around her from sharing her flowers, bringing food over to someone who could use a hearty meal, to being a shoulder for any and all broken hearts. Jayne was predeceased by her mother, Carol M. Olar Grenier, her sister, Ramona Hartwig, her nephew Jacob Schlitt, and her niece Lorrell Bessent-Mata. Jayne is survived by her loving husband, Bruce Bockholt, her children, Jeremy Bockholt (Danielle Salek), Julia Tretter (Jonathan Tretter), her grandchildren, her sisters, Judy Schlitt (Dan Schlitt) and Kimberly Lawson, aunt, cousins, nieces and nephews and many loving friends. A celebration of life will be planned by her family and will be announced at a later date. In lieu of sending flowers, please plant flowers and trees in her memory. Jayne will be greatly missed by family and friends. Please say a prayer for Jayne’s family and friends as they learn to navigate life without her.
