Jonathan D. Estes, 8, a lifelong resident of Bonita Springs, FL passed away Sunday, November 8, 2020 at North Collier Hospital. He was born February 14, 2012 in Fort Myers, FL a son of Jeffrey B. and Dana M. (Southwick) Estes, Jr. Jonathan was a happy boy with a contagious smile who brought unbelievable joy to everyone in his presence. He adored his big brother, Jeffrey III, his favorite playmate, advocate, and best friend. Jonathan also enjoyed music, the outdoors, snuggling with his family, and celebrating his birthdays at Disney World. Known as Superman to his family, Jonathan was a courageous fighter, inspiration, and light. Survivors include his loving parents, Jeffrey and Dana Estes, Jr.; big brother, Jeffrey Estes, III; paternal grandparents, Jeffrey and Cindy Estes, Sr. of Jay, NY; maternal grandparents, David and Rita Southwick of Fort Myers, FL; aunts and uncles, Rachel (Kyle) Sperry of Wesley Chapel, FL, Shaun (Marilyn) Southwick of Stuart, FL, Angela (Claudiu) Mates of Fort Myers, FL, Nicholas (Tracy) Southwick of Mobile, AL, Kristina Southwick of Fort Myers, FL, Michael (Megan) Southwick of Davenport, FL and Andrew (Gabriela) Southwick of Zephyrhills, FL; and many extended family and friends. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at 7:00 PM at Our Lady of Light Catholic Community, 19680 Cypress View Drive, Fort Myers, FL 33967. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until the time of the service. He will be laid to rest at a private committal service on Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to Make-A-Wish Southern Florida. Arrangements are being handled by Shikany's Bonita Funeral Home.
