Kathleen G. Piscitelli
November 11, 1946 - September 12, 2021
Kathleen G. Piscitelli, 74 of Naples, FL passed away Sunday, September 12, 2021. Although very unexpected, her passing was peaceful and in her sleep. Kathy had been battling Parkinson's disease and after a fall was recently residing with her husband at Life Care Center of Estero. She and Lou had moved from the northeast 32 years ago and loved the life they made for themselves in Naples Florida. She was born November 11, 1946 in Meriden, CT and was the daughter of the late Everett and Teresa (DeRisi) Graham. Kathleen attended Orville H. Platt High School and graduated from the Park Institute of Hair Design before beginning her lifelong career as a hairdresser, a legacy she passed on to one of her granddaughters. Her talents won her awards in many hair styling competitions, one in New York City, where she placed first with a trophy for the best “Beehive.” Over the years, Kathleen also excelled in various administrative and secretarial roles. A bit of a perfectionist, whatever she engaged in, she did well and taught her three children to do the same. She was an amazing cook, who enjoyed entertaining, hosting dinner parties, as well as traveling, dining, singing and dancing, and scrapbooking photo albums. She was a devoted mother who adored her children and grandchildren and centered her life around them and her loving husband. Kathleen was an avid card player who was very active on Facebook sharing inspiring and positive messages with her family and friends. In earlier years she was a member of the Meriden Junior Woman’s Club. She is survived by her beloved husband of 40 years, Louis A. Piscitelli; along with her loving children, Karen (Gregg) Seide of Estero, FL, Brian (Amy Peichert) DiRisi of Wallingford, CT, Jennifer (John) Salm of Naples, FL; brother, Edward (Nancy) Graham of Falls Church, VA; sisters, Deborah Graham of Rocky Hill, CT, Evelyn Graham of Meriden, CT; cherished grandchildren, Abigail (Charlie) Sullivan, Amanda Seide, Brian DiRisi, Ginger DiRisi, Tucker Salm and Julia Salm; adored great grandchildren, Emma and Brody Sullivan; and nieces and nephews, Christine Youngsdale, Patrick Graham, Arthur Choiniere and Jacquelyn Choiniere. In addition to her parents, Kathleen was preceded in death by her niece, Kimberly Bigo. We will miss her beautiful smile! We appreciate your prayers and cards as well as online condolences and shared stories and sentiments. The family will be celebrating Kathy's life privately this week and on a larger scale at a future time. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Second Wind Dreams to improve the quality of Nursing Home facilities and provide a chance at dreams for Seniors.
