Kenneth C Spajer

May 5, 1946 - January 18, 2022

Kenneth (Ken) C. Spajer, 75, at peace in the arms of Christ on January 18, 2022, surrounded by family at his home in Bonita Springs, Florida. Ken is survived by his loving wife and dear friend of 53 years June (nee Kordas), his children whom he adored and deeply admired Jeff Spajer and Kris (Brian) Sarkan. Dearly loved by his grandchildren and affectionately called “Porta” by Jake and Emma Sarkan. Ken was born to Carl and Sophie Spajer on May 5, or as he would say Cinco de Mayo in 1946. He was the beloved brother of Diane Hahn (fiancé Gerry) and fun brother in law and uncle to many. While Ken’s heart was that of a Firefighter, his calling in life and profession was to help people as a Child Psychologist and part time College Professor. His impact on troubled youth that were counselled, redirected and saved by Ken is most certainly notable. To his credit Ken was the recipient of Part Time Professor of the Year for several years as well as the esteemed honor of Who’s Who among American Teachers. Ken was a proud member of the St. Damian choir at his former parish in Oak Forest, Illinois. He loved to fish and was fondly referred to as Pescador by the locals and his friends at his home away from home, in both Cancun and Puerto Villarta, Mexico. Ken enjoyed golf and somehow someway per Ken parred many holes. He loved telling jokes, speaking in Polish on occasion and just being the life of the party. Ken will truly be missed. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Monday, January 24, 2022 at 10:00 in St. Leo Catholic Church, 28290 Beaumont Rd, Bonita Springs, Florida 34134. Arrangements are being handles by Shikany's Bonita Funeral Home in Bonita Springs, Florida. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Nuestros Pequenos Hermanos (Friends of the Orphans) at NPH.org To sign Ken’s guest register or to leave on line condolences, please visit www.ShikanyFuneralHome.com Arrangements are being handled by Shikany’s Bonita Funeral Home & Crematory Family Owned and Operated Since 1978.
