Leo Francis Hundt

December 20, 1938 - April 1, 2022

Leo F. Hundt, 83 of Naples, Florida passed away on April 1, 2022 after a long battle with Parkinson’s. He is survived by his wife Mary Lou of 57 years, his sisters Rhea and Carl Iverson, and Lois and Dennis Bracco also survives his sister-in-law Rosana Jasmer and his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Raymond and Kathryn Kronforst. Plus he leaves behind many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents Leo and Irene Hundt, and sisters Diane and Sarah Hundt. Leo was born December 20, 1938 and raised in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. He graduated from Aquinas High School and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in education from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse and a Masters Degree in Administration from the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wisconsin. All of his professionally work was in education from a teacher to many years as a high school principal in Illinois. Leo always believed that you and I can make a difference. After retirement he and his wife spent time volunteering in Mexico plus they continue to support many children from Nuestros Pequenos Hermanos homes (Our Little Brothers and Sisters) in Latin America as well as visiting the children each year. A Celebration of Life Mass will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Naples, Florida on Wednesday April 20, 2022 at 10:30 A.M.
