Marilyn H. Licitra 88, of Ft. Myers, FL died Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Hope Hospice in Ft. Myers. She was born on January 8, 1933 in New York City a daughter of the late Harry and Josephine (née Fennessey) Greenberg. Marilyn had been a resident of Ft. Myers since 1993 moving from Middle Village, NY. She was a graduate of Seward Park High School class of 1950. She worked for Aetna Life and Casualty Company in Queens, NY and the World Trade Center and retired as an Executive Assistant after 20 plus years. On September 27, 1952 she married the love of her life, Frank J. Licitra and moved to Middle Village, NY where they raised their family of three children. All were involved with the Ridgewood-Glendale-Middle Village Little League for over 30 years. Marilyn also served as President of the Women’s Auxiliary. She loved sports, bowling and was an avid New York Mets fan who loved going to Shea Stadium. She and her late husband Frank were founding members of St. Columbkille Catholic Church in Ft. Myers, FL. Marilyn is survived by her 3 children, Joseph Licitra and his wife, Laurie of Peachtree City, GA, Francine Wolf and her husband, Hank of Ft. Myers, FL and Frank Licitra and his wife, Jean of Ft. Myers, FL; three grandchildren, Brian Aigner and his companion, Alison King, Michael Licitra and Lindsey Licitra and one great-grandson, Frank Aigner. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 66 years Frank J. Licitra who died on October 17, 2018 and her sister, Rosemarie Carcagente who died on February 22, 2006. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 5, 2021 at 11:00 AM at St. Columbkille Catholic Church 12171 Iona Rd., Ft. Myers, FL 33908 with Rev. Fr. Lorenzo J. Gonzalez, Pastor, officiating. The family suggests that in memory of Marilyn, memorial donations in lieu of flowers be made to the American Heart Association @heart.org or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital @stjude.org.
