Marylyn Ann Neuder

November 24, 1930 - February 19, 2022

Marylyn (Mimi) Neuder (nee Hileman) of Bonita Springs passed into the arms of Jesus on February 19, 2022, at the age of 91 from Alzheimer’s Disease. She loved gardening, tennis, physical exercise and the company of friends and family. Marylyn graduated from Lincoln Park High School and Michigan State University and remained a loyal Spartan throughout her life. She married a fellow Spartan, William (Bill) Neuder, and they lived in Taylor, Michigan, for 36 years while raising their children. They had many friends, family and animals (dogs, cats, horses, chickens, geese, ducks, peacocks) and enjoyed life in Michigan until 1990 when they retired to Bonita Springs, Florida. Starting retirement life with a new house, new friends, a new church, and no pets, Marylyn and Bill enjoyed the coastal life for many years. Most important to Marylyn throughout her life was sharing her gift of hospitality with family and friends. Having her house and pool full of children brought great joy to her. Marylyn was the first to bring out refreshments, first in the water to teach children to swim and water ski, and first to plan the next gathering. Marylyn was born in Detroit, Michigan, on November 24, 1930, to Dr. Stephen Lee and Nina Mae (nee Church) Hileman and lived in Ecorse and Lincoln Park, Michigan. She married William H. Neuder in 1954. Marylyn is survived by her sister Janice Martin; her 4 children, David (Gloria) Neuder, Bill Neuder, Sue Taylor, Kim (RG) Haege; her 12 grandchildren, Sara Neuder, David Neuder, Michael Neuder, Megan (Steven) Stapleton, Kelly (Kevin) Shettler, Michelle (Steve) Brassat, Ryan (Meighan) Taylor, Kara Taylor, Erik (Lisa) Taylor, Jana (Steven) Kaschinske, William (Kristen) Haege, Stephen Haege; and 10 great grandchildren, with one more arriving soon! She is preceded in death by her brother Robert, sister Nina Mae, son-in-law David Taylor and daughter-in-law Mary Neuder. She had multiple years of loving supportive care from Yvonne Rahming, Elizabeth Baccus and Colleen Hussey. Marylyn’s loving husband of 58 years “I’m the Captain of the Boat!” Bill Neuder preceded her in death in 2012. We are happy that Mom and Dad are reunited in heaven. A private family service is planned for December 2022. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Marylyn may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Bonita Springs, Southminster Presbyterian Church of Taylor, Michigan, or Friends of Barefoot Beach Preserve.
