Robert Giles "Bob" Claussen

Robert Giles (Bob) Claussen, 84, of Naples, Florida, passed away on Sunday, March 7, 2021. Bob was born April 24, 1936 and raised in Chicago, the son of Clarence and Bernice Claussen. Bob graduated from Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa where he majored in mathematics. Bob worked in the computer industry for the next thirty years at General Electric/Honeywell, Prime Computer and Encore Computer. In 1988, Bob moved to Naples where he and his son, Chris, worked in land development. Bob was preceded in death by his loving son, John Robert Claussen (Lisa Adams) of Swampscott, MA. He is survived by the love of his life for 35 years, Norma M. Claussen (nee Corsetti); his father-in-law, Vincent J. Corsetti of Naples; and his beloved sons, Christopher (Kim) of Naples, Florida and Matthew Claussen of Stow, MA. He cherished being Bobo to his six grandchildren Charles, Nicole, Zachary, Miles, Justin & Michael and his great granddaughter Arielle. His adored, faithful four-legged companions await him. Bob and Norma are devoted to their faith and to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church of Naples. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, March 12, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 625 111th Avenue North, Naples, FL 34108. Burial will follow in the church Memorial Garden. The Mass will be live streamed and can be viewed at the following link - https://saintjohntheevangelist.com/events/online-funeral-mass In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made in Bob’s name to St John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Arrangements are being handled by Shikany's Bonita Funeral Home.
