Rosemary Fortin

Rosemary Fortin, 80 of Newton, MA and Fort Myers Beach, FL passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, May 24th at her home in Florida. She was a seasonal resident of Florida for the past two years. Rosemary was the eldest daughter of the late Hector Francis Xavier Fortin and Elizabeth Rose Downing. She was preceded in death by her older brother, Robert John Fortin. She is survived by her two sisters, Diana Schindler of Pittsford, NY and Sister Mary Frances Fortin, O.S.C. of San Damiano Monastery of St. Clare on Fort Myers Beach, FL, nieces and a nephew, a grandniece and grandnephews along with many devoted cousins. Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, funeral services will be private at San Damiano Monastery of St. Clare on Monday, May 25, 2020. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to San Damiano Monastery of St. Clare, 6029 Estero Blvd, Fort Myers Beach, FL 33931-4325.
