Thomas P. Roettele, 80 of Naples, FL died Sunday, February 13, 2022 at Naples Community Hospital. Formerly of Cincinnati, OH he moved to Stuart, FL in 1978 before relocating to Marco Island, FL in 1985 and ultimately calling Naples home in 1993. Tom was born February 22, 1941 in Cincinnati, OH a son of the late Francis Xavier and Catherine (Tegeder) Roettele. In 1963, he graduated from Xavier University with his bachelor’s degree in business administration before spending 35 years in the banking industry. Mr. Roettele was a faithful parishioner at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church where he was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 11281. Tom was a passionate fan of Xavier Basketball and supporter of the Xavier Football team that has been undefeated since 1973. He also enjoyed playing cards with his buddies, but most importantly he loved spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include his beloved wife of 57 years, Carol J. (Mouch) Roettele; loving children, Mark Roettele of Stuart, FL, Patrick (Maria) Roettele of Clarkston, MI, Tim (Rhonda) Roettele of Naples, FL, and Kate (Ross) Mahoney of Tallahassee, FL; brother, Donald Roettele of Sarasota, FL; cherished grandchildren, Kat, Katie, Lauren, Lizzie, Morgan, Josh, Payten, Matt and Jake; and adored great granddaughter, Riley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Jim (Louise) Roettele, Fr. Jack Roettele, and Shirley (Bill) Helmer. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 18, 2022 at 2:00 PM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 625 111th Ave. N., Naples, FL 34108. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Tom’s name to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, 4451 Mercantile Ave., Naples, FL 34104. Arrangements are being handled by Shikany's Bonita Funeral Home, Family Owned Since 1978.
