Allen Queen

Allen Queen, 55, of Fort Myers, FL, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 14, 2025, at his residence. Born on January 26, 1970, in Marion, NC, he was the son of William D. and the late Delores F. (Walker) Queen. Allen was a 1988 graduate of McDowell High School. In 1992, he proudly joined the U.S. Marine Corps, serving until 1995 when he was honorably discharged due to injuries sustained in a helicopter accident. Following his recovery, he pursued higher education at the University of South Carolina Upstate, earning his bachelor’s degree in computer science. In 1997, Allen relocated to southwest Florida and embarked on his career as an IT specialist at Midwest Title Company. With an entrepreneurial spirit, he later founded Queen & Associates, a successful computer company that he continued to operate until his passing. Known for his kindness and generosity, Allen was a beloved member of his community. He would give the shirt off his back to help anyone in need. His greatest joy in life was his family, especially his three daughters and his cherished grandchildren. He was also a consummate joker, always bringing laughter to those around him. Allen enjoyed spending time at the gun range, the poker room, and the movie theater. He is survived by his three daughters: Joanna D. Queen of Fort Myers, FL; Stephanie B. Lee (David) of Fort Myers, FL; and Sara M. Koks (Jay) of Waalwijk, Netherlands. He also leaves behind his father, William D. Queen, and his wife, Lynn, of Marion, NC; his four beloved grandchildren: Brianna, Isabella, Jayden, and Ethan; as well as his two sisters, Gina Queen of Estero, FL, and Chrissie Queen of Marion, NC. A Memorial services to celebrate his life will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, February 24, 2025, at the First Baptist Church of Estero 20300 Trailside Dr., Estero, FL 33928. He will be buried at Sarasota National Cemetery, Sarasota, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Gideons International for the purpose of donating Bibles in memory of Allen.
