Anita Gwen Larson

Anita Gwen Larson died on February 6th, 2023 at the age of 84. She was born May 19th, 1938 in Oklahoma City, OK, and grew up in Edina, MN. She graduated from Northrup High School in Minneapolis, in 1956. She married P. Robert “Bob” Larson in 1958. Gwen supported her husband’s career moving from Minneapolis to Detroit, and Connecticut. The family moved back to Minneapolis and established their longtime home in Edina, Minnesota where together they raised their 2 children. After Bob’s retirement, they moved to Bonita Bay in Bonita Springs, FL, and split their time between Florida and their Prior Lake, Minnesota home. Gwen enjoyed spending time with her family and the years she and Bob spent boating in Minnesota and Florida. She was an avid bird watcher and had many hobbies. She loved to take classes to learn all she could. She was very skilled in knitting. Gwen enjoyed sharing her skills with others and making gifts to give away. She will be dearly missed by those who knew her. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Bob Larson (P. Robert); Children, Julie (Michael) Arndt, Brooks (Michelle) Larson and 4 grandchildren, Emily (Francis) Stage, Kristina Arndt, AJ Larson, and Ben (Aly) Larson. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren, and one baby on the way. Gwen was an only child and was preceded in death by her parents Alfred L. Remington and Beulah Andrews Remington. A reception in Gwen’s honor will be held in Bonita Springs, Florida on Saturday, February 18th at 11:00 AM in the Social Room of The Horizons. 4731 Bonita Bay Blvd., Bonita Springs. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in Minnesota this summer. Details will be announced. Interment at Lakewood Cemetery In Minneapolis Minnesota.
