Christine Ann Dimelow

Christine Dimelow, born Christine Cady, passed away on January 27 at the age of 55 after a brave battle with cancer. Christine was born in Bethpage, New York, to Stanley P. and Mary Barbara Cady (née Clos) and grew up in Syracuse, where she spent much of her childhood. After the early loss of both of her parents, Christine was cared for by her aunt, Adrienne Clos. Over the years, Christine lived in several places that shaped her life—Syracuse, North Carolina, England, and finally Florida, where she made her home. Christine worked as a dental hygienist at Bayside Smiles Dental Care. She took great pride in her work and was known for her compassion and the easy rapport she built with her patients. She had an open spirit and enjoyed exploring meaning and reflection through practices such as tarot and working with crystals. Christine loved dabbling in paranormal investigations, embraced her love of Halloween, and took great pride each year in decorating her yard for the season. She especially loved attending Renaissance fairs, often in costume, where she could express her creativity. Music was another passion, particularly the music of Ozzy Osbourne, which inspired the name of her beloved dog, Ozzy, who was rarely far from her side. Christine was especially grateful for the bond she shared with her three stepsons, David, Robert, and Ryan Dimelow—a relationship that remained a lasting source of love and meaning in her life. She is survived by her sister, Adrianne Ariglio; her brother-in-law, James; her cousin, Jennifer Calhoun; and her beloved dog, Ozzy. A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Shikany’s Bonita Funeral Home 28300 Tamiami Tr. S., Bonita Springs, FL where she will be remembered for her warmth and her deep affection for those she loved. The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to Florida Cancer Specialists and Hope Hospice for the compassionate care and support they provided during Christine’s illness.
