Colleen M Miller

Colleen M. Miller (nee Kennedy), 90, of Naples,FL went to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on May 13, 2020. She was born to the late Harry and Letha (nee Jenkins) Kennedy of Bristol, Indiana. Colleen graduated from Bristol High School, where she enjoyed cheerleading and band with her good friends, some of whom became life-long friends. She married Max Mosier and they lived in Virginia while he served in the Navy. In 1952 they built their house in Bristol. They were blessed with a son, Michael, in 1954. In the 1960’s Colleen was a secretary and bookkeeper for a law firm in Elkhart, an employee of Kennatrack, and started a laminating company (RK) with her brother, Robert Kennedy. For 21 years, until 1992, she was manager of Timberbrook Mobile Home Park in Bristol which she enjoyed for the varied responsibilities and the many residents who became friends. In 1995 she and her husband, Marlin Miller, moved to Naples, Florida. Colleen loved spoiling the dogs and cats that she had throughout her life. She enjoyed landscaping her yard in Bristol and then in Naples. She enjoyed cooking and was an excellent baker, making pies and desserts for her family and neighbors, for which they were grateful and pleased. She will be remembered for her smile and laughter, her cheerfulness, having a persevering attitude and encouraging words for all, to be the best that they could be and to believe in the power of prayer. She will be sorely missed. Colleen had been a member of Hillcrest United Methodist Church in Elkhart and sang in the choir. She attended First Baptist Church of Naples. Colleen is survived by her son Michael Mosier (Karen) of Naples; nieces; Chris Warner, Ann (John) McCurtain, Amy Kennedy, Debora Mealor, Dawn Kennedy, Danette (Mark) Barber; and nephews; Steven (Angela) Kennedy, Burt (Shana) Kennedy; and great nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her dear friend, Stephen Barnett. She was preceded in death by her former husband, Max Mosier, husband Marlin Miller, brothers Robert Kennedy and Jerry Kennedy, nephew Martin Kennedy, and great nephew, Michael Simpson. Services are private. Arrangements are being handled by Shikany’s Bonita Funeral Home Family Owned and Operated since 1978.
