David A. Nadeau

David A. Nadeau, 81, of Bonita Springs, Florida and Wiscasset, Maine, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2026, in Naples, Florida, following a fall with complications. Born on July 26, 1944, in Portland, Maine, David was the son of the late Alfred and Inez (née Ellis) Nadeau. Formerly of Rochester, NY, Atlanta, Ga and Cape Cod, Massachusetts, he has been a resident of Florida resident for 17 years, residing in Naples and currently Bonita Springs, spending summers in Wiscasset, Maine. David enjoyed an exceptional 35-year career with the Eastman Kodak Company, where his remarkable business acumen and leadership earned him increasing responsibility throughout the organization. Upon his retirement, he served as Vice President of Marketing and Sales for Latin America, Asia, and the Pacific. Earlier in his distinguished career, David's tenure as Marketing Director of Kodak's Office Imaging Division exemplified his extraordinary ability to think strategically, execute with precision, and lead with purpose during one of the imaging industry's most dynamic eras. Whether developing innovative business strategies, cultivating international markets, or mentoring colleagues, David approached every challenge with vision, integrity, and unwavering professionalism. Those fortunate enough to know David understood that his greatest accomplishments extended far beyond the boardroom. He possessed a rare gift for making others feel valued, capable, and appreciated. He was the kind of person who was always there when someone needed advice, encouragement, or simply a helping hand. His colleagues admired not only his expertise, but also his warmth, generosity, and uniquely wonderful sense of humor. He had an uncanny ability to ease tension, brighten difficult days, and remind everyone around him not to take life too seriously. Outside of his professional career, David was an accomplished golfer whose quiet confidence and remarkable skill spoke for themselves. He approached the game with the same thoughtful precision, determination, and grace that defined every aspect of his life. Whether on the golf course, in business, or among family and friends, David's character, humility, and kindness left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him. David leaves behind a legacy built upon professional excellence, unwavering generosity of spirit, and a life devoted to family, friendship, and service to others. His influence will continue to be felt by those whose lives he touched, and he will be deeply missed. Upon his early retirement after 35 years with Kodak, he lived his dream, owning a home in Chatham, Cape Cod, MA, and marrying Joyce on 01/01/01 at the Chatham Light House, one of his favorite places. David was a devoted husband of 25 years and left his beloved Chatham, Cape Cod home and moved to Florida to be a part of the lives of the grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Joyce W. Nadeau of Bonita Springs, Florida; his two sons, David Nadeau of Rochester, New York, and Daniel Nadeau of Los Angeles, California; his daughter, Kristen and son-in-law Craig Leith of Plantation, Florida; and his two beloved grandchildren, Jacob Leith and Julianna Leith. A private family service will be held to honor David's life.
