Dolores D. Kadri

It is with deep sorrow that we share the passing of Dolores D. Kadri, 94, of Pelican Landing in Bonita Springs, Florida. Dolores was born in 1931, the youngest child of Elias and Anna David of Washington D.C. She was sister to Remand David, Ernest David, and Leona Rattal. Dolores was the baby of the family, cherished and protected by her older brothers and sister. She loved her family dearly, especially the time she spent with her nieces Terry, Patricia, and Karen. As a young adult, Dolores enjoyed traveling, both domestically and internationally. Along the way, she was pursued by many but only one gentleman caught her eye -- George Kadri. They married in 1956 and began their life together in New York. Soon after, an opportunity took them to Detroit, Michigan where the couple had their two children, Paul and Lynn. Several years later, George was transferred back to the New York area, and they eventually settled in Chatham, New Jersey. Upon retirement, the couple split their time between Manasquan, New Jersey and Pelican Landing in Bonita Springs, and Pelican Landing is where they ultimately settled. Among her many admirable qualities, Dolores’ love for her family and her friends stands out. She was the first person to call in a time of crisis or a time to celebrate. Dolores was strong, capable, and tremendously creative. She loved a project, with arts and crafts as her specialty. If you were lucky enough to have Dolores be a part of your life, you benefitted from either a table being built, pants being hemmed, or a party favor being created. She truly enjoyed being a benefit to others. An active member of her community, Dolores excelled at playing bridge, tennis, bocce, pickleball, golf, and bowling. There can be no doubt that she made the most of her 94 years. Dolores is survived by her loving children Paul Kadri and Lynn Malloy (James Malloy), along with her two grandchildren, Corinne Kadri and George Malloy. Dolores will be remembered with a private service and burial at a later date. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, those close to Dolores consider a donation to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or Shriners Hospitals for Children.
