Harry A. Hall

Harry Hall, 87, of Bonita Springs Florida, and formerly of Fond du lac and Appleton WI, died peacefully at his home in Highland Woods on November 26, 2015. He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Dorothy. Born March 18, 1928 in Fond du lac WI, he was the son of the late Alfred Hall and Matie (Christiansen). Harry served in the U.S. Navy during WW II. Harry worked in the Machine Tool Industry with Giddings & Lewis for 45 years. He began in engineering and moved into Sales Management before becoming VP/GM of the Bickford Division in Kaukauna, WI where he raised his family in Appleton WI. He retired in 1990 as President of the General Purpose Machine Tool Division based in Fond du lac. Harry loved life and always radiated a positive outlook. He brought fun and joy to all gatherings of friends and family. Harry was active in many civic and religious organizations. He was a long time member of Rotary in Appleton, Fond du lac and Bonita Springs. He was on the Board of South Hills Country Club in Fond du lac. He was an eloquent speaker and enjoyed many years with Toastmasters, winning numerous speaking awards. He traveled the world for both business and pleasure. In retirement he split his time between Bonita Springs, where he enjoyed years of golf and bridge, and a home on Lake Winnebago in Wisconsin, where he enjoyed gardening, the outdoors and boating. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Christine Ehrenbard (Andrew Scher); daughter-in-law Nancy Hall; five grandchildren Brooks (Jennifer) and Betsy Hall; Natalie, Roxane and Erica Ehrenbard; and four great-grandchildren Ashley, Brent, Callie and David Hall. He was predeceased by his son James Hall and his brother William and sister Janet. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at 11:00 AM in Price Chapel at First Presbyterian Church of Bonita Springs, 9751 Bonita Beach Road, Bonita Springs, FL 34135.
