John Richard Lametto

John Richard Lametto, 57, of Estero, Florida, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2025. Born in Norwalk, Connecticut, John grew up in Redding and carried the values of his close-knit upbringing throughout his life—quiet strength, unwavering loyalty, and deep devotion to those he loved. After attending the University of Alabama, John became a lifelong fan of Crimson Tide football—his enthusiasm for the team was infectious and enduring. (Roll Tide!) John dedicated his entire professional career to PVH, where he was known for his hard work, integrity, dependability, earning the respect and friendship of colleagues across decades. Later in life, John fulfilled a longtime dream by settling on Florida’s southwest coast, where the tranquil beauty of the shoreline brought him lasting peace and joy. After years of tireless dedication, he finally realized some of his greatest aspirations. He purchased a beautiful home for himself and his mother—a welcoming space with room for family to gather and create new memories. Embracing this new chapter, John discovered a passion for decorating and explored fresh hobbies with enthusiasm. Surrounded by coastal charm and the people he loved, he was truly living his best life. He is survived by his loving mother, Patricia Lametto; his sister, Barbara Wade (Robert); and his brothers, Scott Lametto (Kelley) and Brian Lametto (Christina). John was a cherished uncle to Jessica Salvo (Stephen), Megan Wade, Rachel Wade, Nicholas Lametto, Marisa Lametto, Parker Lametto, and Aly Lametto, and a proud great-uncle to Nora Salvo. He was predeceased by his father, Richard Lametto, whose memory remained a guiding presence in John’s life. John will be remembered for his steady presence, his quiet humor, and the gentle way he showed up for others. He never sought the spotlight, but his impact was lasting and profound. His legacy lives on in the kindness he offered, the loyalty he gave, and the love he held for his family. The family will never be the same without him but we will move forward, embracing his legacy of love, generosity and laughter. A private service will be held to honor John’s life.
