John A. Redick

John Allan Redick, of Naples, Florida, passed away peacefully September 9, 2026, at age 87. John was born on April 9, 1939, in Omaha, Nebraska, to George and Iva Redick. He married his high school sweetheart Linda Swender shortly after earning his undergraduate degree from the University of Kansas in 1961. He went on to receive an MBA from Stanford University in 1968. John served in the United States Navy for five years, rising to the rank of lieutenant. His service brought him and Linda to Naples, Italy, in the early years of their marriage — a place that held a special significance for the family long after they returned home. They lived in many places across the U.S. and eventually settled in Green Bay Wisconsin, where he served as Chief Financial Officer of Little Rapids Corporation. John was a man who loved being on the water. Tooling around on his boat in the lakes and rivers of Wisconsin, and teaching countless kids to water ski were among his greatest joys. An avid sports fan and active competitor himself, he enjoyed tennis, golf, basketball, ping pong and bridge and cheered for the Green Bay Packers, the Kansas Jayhawks, and the Golden State Warriors. He was also an active member of Union Congregational Church in Green Bay, where his faith and community were important parts of his life. John is survived by his wife, Linda Rae Redick; his sons, John Arlan Redick (Pauline Nelson) and Scott Andrew Redick (Fay Chang) ; his grandsons, Jason Ajay Redick and Justin Anand Redick; and his sister, Catherine Marie Currier (David Lowell Currier). A visitation will be held on Sunday, September 13, 2026, from 1:00–2:30 PM at Shikany's Bonita Funeral Home, 28300 Tamiami Trail South, Bonita Springs, FL 34134, followed by a service at 3:00 PM at First Presbyterian Church, 9751 Bonita Beach Rd SE, Bonita Springs, FL 34135. John will be laid to rest next summer in a special place — Nicolet Bay in Door County, Wisconsin — where many happy memories live on.
