Patricia A. “Trish” Stefan 67, of Estero, FL passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, after a brief illness. Trish was born on October 15, 1956, in Wytheville, VA a daughter of the late Rufus and Gaynell (Campbell) Stoneman. As a young child, the family moved to Akron, OH where she was raised. She was a graduate of Central Hower High School and she attended beautician’s school. Trish then began working as a waitress at many restaurants throughout her career and eventually became a manager at the 1682 Restaurant in Fairlawn, OH working with our family friend, John Anthe. She also owned a home cleaning service and was an independent contractor for the Akron Public School System driving the van for special needs children, as her last job before retiring to Florida for her lifetime dream. Trish loved family and friends, the beach, and getting together with friends, and for the last couple of years, she loved pickleball. Trish loved LIFE in all ways; she spread her Love to many people, and will be forever in our Hearts! She was a lifetime member of the Mogadore VFW Post 8487 in Mogadore, OH, and a member of the Bonita Springs Moose Lodge. For the past 3 years, Trish was an avid pickleball player and enjoyed playing with many friends and the ladies at Coconut Shores. She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, John J. Stefan; her devoted daughter, Melissa A. “Missy” Fiegly and her husband, Erik of Akron, OH and her 3 beautiful grandchildren,(whom she adored) Zoey Ann Cook, Zachary L. Cook and Jacob L. Fiegly. She is also survived by her two sisters, Sheri Barr (Mike) of Vermillion, OH, and Glenda Menefee (Ken) of Cleveland, OH, and her brother, Dennis Stoneman (Katrina) of Akron, OH, and her brother-in-law, Richard Rucker of Denver, CO and many family members, nieces, nephews, and a tremendous amount of beautiful friends. Trish has joined her parents, her sister, Connie Rose Rucker, and her beloved Pomeranian, Ruby in Heaven. A celebration of life service for Trish will be held at the Mogadore VFW Post 8487 in Mogadore, OH on Saturday, December 16, 2023, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. An additional service will be held in Florida on Friday, Jan. 5th from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Shikany’s Bonita Funeral Home 28300 Tamiami Tr. S. Bonita Springs, FL. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 PM. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations in her memory be made to the American Stroke Association PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692 or online at www.stroke.org to the charity of your choice. Trish was an individual who always gave to others. Even in the end, as an organ donor, she was able to give to others with the donation of her eyes that will help six individuals.
