R. Larry Leffel

It is with great sadness that the family of R. Larry Leffel announce his passing on Friday, October 25, 2024 at Hope Hospice. Larry was born May 29, 1942, in Akron, Ohio, the son of the late Cecil and Marion (Smith) Leffel. Larry, his wife, Linda, and youngest son, Darryl, moved from Ohio to Bonita Springs, Florida, in 1981. Larry, along with his best friend (partner in crime), Clifton Ramey, started up their Company, Bonita Drywall, at which all of their sons worked the trade with them at one time or another, and some still do to this day. However, Larry and Linda's greatest passion was boating the beautiful waterways of Florida every chance they got along with their many friends and family. Larry had many hobbies, such as bowling, golfing, and singing at every Karaoke place in town. Survivors include his children, Cristine Lynch (Don Sitta), Angela (Mark) Kotch, Dean (Lou Ann Christy) Leffel, Ron Leffel and Darryl Leffel. 7 Grandchildren, Heath (Monique) Robinson, Brandy (Ryan) Hudson, Shannon (Chris) Kramer, Markie (Benna) Kotch, Joshua (Ginny) Leffel, Olivia (Zach) Clifton and Zach (Leffel) Malecha. 10 Great-Grandchildren, Reagan and Reese Robinson, Ella and Cayson Donahoe, Mason Kotch, Jude and Saul Click, Kylie, Kinsley and Carson Clifton. Brother, Tom (Shelli Brady) Leffel and his lifelong friend/brother, Clifton Ramey, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Linda Leffel, his son Michele Leffel, his brothers Denny Leffel and Dale Leffel, and his sister Linda Showman. As per Larry's wishes, there will be no service. However, a celebration of his life will be held in the late Spring of 2025 for family and friends, and complete details will be announced at a later date.
