Robert C. “Bob” Golden (August 26, 1940 – March 30, 2026) BONITA SPRINGS, FL – Robert C. Golden, 85, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on March 30, 2026, following a courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease. A U.S. Navy veteran (USS Wasp CVS-18) and proud North Country native, Bob was a man defined by his kindness, his craftsmanship, and his genuine love for people. Demonstrating a remarkable work ethic from an early age, Bob worked on a local farm before school, forging a resilience that would define his life. His career path was diverse, including serving as a Personnel Director, as a Mortgage Broker and owner of Atlantis Mortgage, and as a partner in Max’s Outfitters Men’s Store. Never one to sit still, he found pleasure in renovating homes, crafting furniture, and serving as the neighborhood’s go-to handyman; he was always helping someone, often refusing payment. A legendary conversationalist who "never met a stranger," Bob was at his happiest when spending time with his friends and family. Whether he was golfing, boating on the Saint Lawrence River, or simply enjoying the outdoors, he was known for his warmth and his love for a good story. A devoted husband and father, he led a life defined by gentleness and faith. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Jane Marie (Bellinger) Golden; his children, Stephanie Simon (Kevin), Rebecca Golden (Clayton Childress), and Matthew Golden; four grandchildren; his brothers, James Golden, Albert Golden, and Perry Golden; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Morris Golden. Interment with military honors will be held at Sarasota National Cemetery. A memorial service will take place on May 2nd, at 10am, in Victory Park of Christus Victor Lutheran Church,15600 N. Tamiami Trail, Naples, FL 34110.
