Wylder Lee Jacobson

Wylder Lee Jacobson, age 3, of Fort Myers, Florida, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2026, at Golisano Children’s Hospital, surrounded by love. Wylder was born on February 19, 2022, in Naples, Florida, the beloved son of Tyler L. Jacobson and Jena J. Bohsancurt. Shortly after birth, Wylder was diagnosed with SWAN—an acronym for Syndrome Without A Name. Despite this rare and complex diagnosis, Wylder defied all expectations. At the time of his passing, he was the longest-surviving patient known with this syndrome. As his parents so beautifully shared, Wylder became the teacher, not the student. A true warrior from the very beginning, Wylder was a fighter with the gentlest spirit. He was the sweetest baby—always happy, always smiling—and his light touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Wylder was an inspiration not only to his family, but also to the nurses and doctors who cared for him and loved him deeply. He is survived by his loving parents, Jena J. Bohsancurt and Tyler L. Jacobson; his maternal grandmother, Peggy J. Popps (Sean Doyle) of Sidney, Nebraska; maternal grandfather, Rick Bohsancurt of San Carlos Park, Florida; paternal grandparents, Brandy and Brian Bieberich of Bonita Springs, Florida; his aunts, Jamie Lierk (Brian) of Los Angeles, California, and their children, Asher and Cohen Lierk, and Elli Jacobson of Bonita Springs, Florida; and his uncle, Reid Doyle (Jennifer) of Kalispell, Montana, and their children, Kia and Kenni Doyle. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Shikany’s Bonita Funeral Home, 28300 Tamiami Trail South, Bonita Springs, Florida. Guests are asked to please wear red, pink, or white. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations in Wylder’s memory be made to Golisano Children’s Hospital, 9800 So.
