DO NOT PURCHASE CEMETERY PROPERTY WITHOUT SPEAKING TO US FIRST! We do not have a financial interest in any local cemetery. The purchase of property can be confusing, mistakes can be costly and NON-REFUNDABLE. In many cases, merchandise such as burial vaults and grave markers can be purchased much more reasonably from the funeral home.
A common misconception is that funeral home-cemetery joint
operations offer a sensible, convenient alternative. While this may seem to
make sense, most consumers find in the end that the “convenience” results in
much higher costs. As has been the case for many years, a free-standing funeral
home is perfectly able to co-ordinate the necessary transportation.
Additionally, our staff members are funeral specialists. We can focus on the
important details of the funeral without the additional concerns of cemetery
operations that “one-stop shopping” facilities struggle with. One of our
licensed funeral directors will gladly assist you in selecting and purchasing a
final resting place.
Traditionally, in-ground burial has been the choice of many families. We can provide families with information about in-ground burial options, including large family estate lots, multiple space lots and single grave spaces. Depending on the needs of the family, there are many options in Southwest Florida.
Our local cemeteries maintain a variety of facilities for the interment of cremated remains, giving you a full selection of urns, niches, mausoleums and urn gardens. Many local churches also offer accomodations for cremated remains on the church grounds. Our experienced staff is familiar with all the available options and will help you make the best possible choice for your family.
Mausoleums allow for above ground entombment in either community buildings or specially designed family structures. At one time the advantages of mausoleum entombment were available only to royalty, the famed or the very wealthy. Well-known mausoleums include the Taj Mahal, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and Egyptian Pyramids. Mausoleum property is now affordable to most everyone.
The National Cemetery System provides substantial benefits for honorably discharged veterans with active duty service records. Eligible veterans are entitled to burial space in any national cemetery with available space. This benefit extends to spouses and dependent children. At present, the closest national cemetery is the Sarasota National Cemetery. Available benefits include:
Casketed Burial – The VA provides ground burial space, grave liner (concrete outer burial container) and headstone. There are no fees for the opening and closing of the grave.
Cremation Burial – The VA provides two options. Ground burial benefits include the grave space and marker. Columbarium inurnment includes the niche and appropriate memorialization.
We encourage you to contact the funeral home with any questions. Our staff will be able to provide detailed information about these benefits and the different VA facilities available.
Our experienced staff can help you arrive at the perfect decision for you, and your family. Call us at (239) 992-4982 to discuss the wide variety of permanent memorialization options, or contact us via the contact form.
